While Searching On Social Butterfly

I was checking up on certain phrases today, one of which was Social Butterfly, when I ran across this article - which, mind you, is rather old, but a hoot none-the-less - about the social habits of bloggers.

Bloggers are social creatures and I can see a glimmer of truth in this article but I can tell you that I am digging the fact that I am, as the brilliant Jag puts it, riding this gravy train called blogging.

Comments:
I like this part, where she's talking about blogger parties:

"The party I attended was quite progressive, as there were four or five of the blog-free in attendance (all of whom admitted to being on Friendster, however, which is basically just a gateway drug)."

This year I think you'd have to replace Friendster with MySpace and it's still dead on.

Chuckle! That is totally hysterical! Gateway Drug?

Hey! Thanks for the comment! I am a Smyrna runner, usually I run with my husband or by myself. Do you run? We'd love to grow the Smyrna running community! We have such awesome greenways here now, it would really be great to have a group run sometimes. We have a wide variety of paces, but are running a bit slower right now as I'm coming up on one month before the marathon. Take care!

Rae, I was a little nervous about posting on your blog. No, I am not a runner but about two years ago was up to doing 2 miles a day on my elliptical, which I loved. It broke twice and got too expensive to continue to fix. I would wrap my toes in tape because of the blisters but would continue to do it. I have karate on Saturday mornings at the town center but if ever you have like a beginner's run, let me know. I also have a blog about the town of Smyrna, TN so if you should like to post any information about running groups, please let me know as I would be more than happy to communicate that message for you. My email is dialydiablogger@gmail.com.
