Your Lot in Life...

I'll be taking a brief hiatus over the course of the next couple days. I plan to finish up a very short book, focus on my martial arts training and complete some tutorials I'm working on.

I just wanted to engage my readers in conversation during my absence. And so, I will ask a couple questions and hope that you will share:

Question 1: Are you happy with your job?
Question 2: Are you happy with where you're at in your life?
Question 3: What is the best thing you've ever done for yourself?
Question 4: What would you recommend someone who is unhappy with their life or career do?
Question 5: What are you doing, right now, to continue your education?

Why am I asking these questions? I don't know. I feel compelled, sometimes, to probe the minds of others. I keep hoping, I suppose, that they have some magic spell or some tip or trick that I might try that will give me an edge in some unforeseen situation or that will help me find the niche into which I belong.

Do you have questions for me that I might answer upon my return?

Comments:
1. yes
2. no
3. went to college
4. start changing things, decide what you want to do and go for it!
5. nothing, other than reading everything I can get my hands on.

Let's see...

1. Depends on which day you ask me.
2. Yes I am.
3. Hate to say it, but divorced by ex-wife.
4. Sit down, think about what you'd like to do. Pray about it.
5. Reading. Does watching TV count?

I suppose if you are watching the history channel... Or the science channel or the learning channel or national geographics...

1. Yes
2. Happier than I used to be
3. I'm going back to college
4. Take a look at where you are and where you want to be - what do you have to do to get there?
5. Going back to college and reading everything I can - also taking continuing educatin classes

1. Yes, surprisingly.
2. Very much so
3. Learned to have faith in the universe and realized that I have no control over it.
4. Figure out who you are and screw what everybody else thinks for awhile. After you know what makes you happy, it's a lot easier to make it happen.
5. Life is an education. I'm just keeping my eyes and ears open.

1. VERY happy.
2. Absolutely.
3. Took another job and a $15,000 pay cut to get away from a :::nightmare::: boss, after almost 15 years with the same company. (It was scary but worth it.)
4. Do NOT settle for anything. Take a chance. You only get one chance at life, so don't waste it doing something you don't want to do.
5. I am enrolled in a monthly class called "Ninja" that teaches agents how to be the master of their career rather than the career being their master. It's awesome.

You guys are all beautiful. I (watering eyes and shaky voice inserted here) l...l...love you!

I think that Ninja class sounds WAY COOL! There are not enough learning opportunities.
