Has Anyone Seen This Movie?

What the Bleep Do We Know is by far the coolest movie I have seen in forever. I want every book they have on their site. Even the kid books.

The Truth About Blogs

You know why I think blogs are so much different than websites? This is too obvious for you, I'm sure, but the beauty is that you can learn so many different perspectives and most of the folks aren't out there just trying to sell you stuff but are really trying to enlighten you or give you a look into the inner workings of their mind. They are sharing the influences that shape their beings - their realities. It is a beautiful thing, isn't it?

Wacky Cat Feeder

I find this concept utterly hysterical. Perhaps I have not read deep enough into the story but I am quite amused by the length of time this person must have spent creating this thing when you can buy a hard cat food dispenser for about $5 from Wal-Mart.

This Just Makes Me Ill

I hope you agree. I am a white person but have experienced racism myself having grown up in a very poor part of St. Louis where I was a minority. I wish that we could all be human and not black or white. Our time spent on this earth is so short and when it comes down to it, we will all become one with the universe. Why on Earth are people who promote racism so successful? I feel for these children and can imagine that some day one of these young ladies will grow up and marry or date or have relations with someone not of their race.

Llamas

Aren't they so cute? I'm getting one when I win the lotto.

An engaging conversation on house trained llamas at Tiny Cat Pants.

A Whole Lot Smarter Than I Am

Here's a fellow that, at first glance, appears to be a whole lot smarter than I am. If I didn't have issues with ADD, I'd be all over it.

So, I've Got A Question...

Does anyone know what causes some cats to be so scabby around their necks? My big, fat cat, Freckle, is obsessive/compulsive, I'm sure. She sits around licking and pulling hair out all day. She used to be a real scardy cat and now she is a love slave, meowing and forcing you to pet her all the time.

The UFO Reporting Center

Tip of the Hat to Nashville is Talking.

This is too good to pass up on this blog. Apparently there is a National UFO Reporting Center. They've got it integrated with Google Maps.

Partial Lunar Eclipse

Dawn Monday, October 17th, 2005, will be a partial lunar eclipse. According to Space.com's website, the lunar eclipse can be seen in the US:
In the United States and Canada, those living in the Pacific and Mountain Time Zones should be able to see most, if not the entire visible range of the eclipse as the Moon descends toward the western horizon. Alaska and Hawaii will see the entire eclipse from start to finish.

Along a line running roughly from the Arrowhead of Minnesota, south to the southern tip of Texas, the Moon will be setting just as it is leaving the Earth's dark umbra. Farther east, along a line running roughly from Buffalo, New York south across central Florida, the Moon will be setting just as it is entering the umbra. It is debatable whether the dark shadow will be visible to those living in the region between these two lines.

Shame on Me

It has been a week since I made a post to this blog. Shame on me. Not for lack of news but for lack of time. My daughter was in the honors orchaestra at the local college and I had a lot of travel time back and forth to rehearsals. So, time has been consumed with domestic and parental activities as of late.

Tonight, I go to karate. Tomorrow, I post.

No, No! Today, Google Earth - Tomorrow, Google Mars

I had to laugh today when I read a post with the title, First Google Earth, Now Google Sun. How closely it resembled a previous post of mine in which I declared, today, Google Earth - tomorrow, Google Mars!

Of course the article was talking about Google and Sun's announcement to partner on making OpenOffice.org more widely available, which I already have - yea! I both love and fear Google. I feel excited about what they are getting into and I can tell that those fellows that started the company feel the same way. They have vision. I think their pursuits are the kind that give you goose bumps. Those experiences are those that we should live for and so few will ever have! Go Google, change the world!

Mice Regenerate Body Parts

This article is not for the faint of heart... Science has achieved some pretty significant things but this is one of the most astounding things I've read recently. Mice have been regenerating body parts, much like a chameleon would do if it were to lose its tail.
